THE SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL RACING FESTIVAL 2012
Racing fans can look forward to loads of entertainment and action with this year’s installment of the Singapore International Racing Festival (SIRF) but none more anticipated than the return of the Turf Belles, Singapore Turf Club’s very own racing ambassadors. Based on an island-wide search, 11 have been selected as this year’s Turf Belles. These 11 belles were selected for both their beauty and brains, and also for their keen interest in the Sport of Kings. Each Turf Belle will be clad in a designer impression of jockey silks of the past 11 Singapore Airlines International Cup (SIA Cup) winners.
The SIRF Roadshows will be held at the following locations with special guest appearances by MediaCorp artiste Rebecca Lim and Radio DJ Lin Pei Fen on 6 May 2012 and 13 May 2012 respectively:

1 Horseshoe Pitching Competition
Try your hand at this ultimate test of precision and stand a chance to compete in the finals for prizes worth more than $4000!
2 Equine Exhibition
Learn more about horses. See and touch racing gear such as bridles and blinkers for horses, and silks and saddles for jockeys.
3 Meet the Turf Belles
Find out more about the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the past winners through interaction sessions with the Turf Belles.
4 Horse Shoe Painting
Get creative and design your very own horseshoe. 8 prizes of $188 each to be won in a lucky draw!
5 Jockey Dress Up & Snap
Try on jockey silks and capture the special moment with your family and friends.

1 “Pick the SIA Cup Winner” SMS Contest (15 May - 27 May)

The SIRF activities will culminate in the running of the region’s most prestigious races – the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the KrisFlyer International Sprint which will be held at the Singapore Racecourse on Sunday, 20 May 2012.
